The Knights are tied 1-1 through the 1st inning of play.
Lopez walked and scored on an RBI double by Fields.

The Barons should be under way in about 20 minutes.

The I's lead 1-0 in the 2nd. In a twist of fate, they
benefitted from another team's bad D. Ricks singled
and scored on a couple of errors. OTOH, Ricks has
made an error of his own, his 11th.

It's time for the Boone Logan experiment at Charlotte to end.

Charlotte loses 8-7 after scoring 6 runs in the last 2 innings...
Josh Fields was 2-5 with 2B and 3 RBI. Rogo was 3-5. Chris Stewart left the game in the 5th... no idea if it was injury-related or not.

Birmingham won 5-4. Broadway pitched decent, of the 4 runs he gave up in 6 IP, only one was earned (due to an error by Mike Myers giving Valido a day off). 7 hits, 4 BB, 3 K. Pollok wins it in relief and Brian West with his 2nd save.

W-S's box score for their early win:

Kannapolis won 8-0 for their 2nd straight... Break 'em up! Derek Rodriguez pitched 6 strong innings and the bullpen held it down. Gomes was 2-4, Ricks was 3-5, and Hernandez was 1-3 with a walk...

Brian West with his 2nd save.

Any word on how West is pitching? After taking that year off I was hoping he would get back on the bump and find some extra mph on his fastball.
