Does anyone know what channel on Comcast the HD broadcast is on for WCIU? Is it over the normal channel? Thanks in advance.:gulp:

I think you have to use an HD antenna to catch the SOX in HD on WCIU. There is no WCIU-HD provided by comcast.

Yes there is, ALL SOX home games are available in HD. Comcast just does not carry the WCIU HD signal because of bandwidth issues or whatever. In order to pick up the WCIU-HD you need to buy an HD antenna (like the old bunny ears) and hook it up to your TV

As of last month, WCIU's HD signal is way stronger by antenna where I live in the western burbs than WGN or WFLD. Those two fade out intermittently, but Channel 26-1 is four-by-four.

I have DirecTV HD-DVR, so I can't get Comcast Sportsnet in HD yet.

If you have your HD receiver connected to an off-air antenna, you can get WCIU-DT on 26-1, which for all home games, is in HD like WGN.

I love it when home games are on WGN and WCIU, because I fall into the DirecTV category as well and don't get Comcast Sports Net HD.

The 26-1 over-the-air signal is great. 720p resolution, looks better than 1080i.

How can that be? It must be your TV or the cable then. Does your TV do HDMI? If so, get one of those cables.

TV and DVR do HDMI. Progressive scan looks better than interlaced to me, especially for sports. 32-1 and 11-1 are now in 720p as well.

Hmmm interesting. I don't know...I just leave mine in 1080i for everything.
