Read this article (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AmqoRftloLuhn_xWpuLAQbgRvLYF?slug=dw-victimbarry051606&prov=yhoo&type=lgns) and if you still don't think Barry Bonds is the absolute scum of baseball, you need help.

It isn't just that Bonds refused to sign a ball for a cystic fibrosis charity run by former teammate Brian Fisher in honor of Fisher's young son who died from the disease. It is that Bonds snarled at the request with a "[expletive] you and [expletive] Brian Fisher."

It isn't just that Bonds refused to help with a fundraiser for the devastated families of two Pittsburgh Pirates (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/pit/) groundskeepers who died without warning. It is that he treated the request for some memorabilia to auction with disgust and more expletives.

"The Pirates' team photographer, Pete Diana, said he wished Barry Bonds was dead," Pearlman said on Tuesday.

It isn't just the scenes of Bonds sitting in the clubhouse and purposely peeling off a pair of dirty socks and dropping them on the floor rather than tossing them in the hamper right next to him and then calling over a low-paid stadium worker to pick them up. It is that when the worker did pick up the socks, Bonds, a second-generation millionaire who was born and raised in extreme privilege, would then throw his underwear down and call the guy back.

Right until I read that article I thought Russ Springer needed a personal reason to bean Bonds. I was wrong. Springer probably heard all these stories about this jackoff and decided he didn't like this piece of crap and decided to do something about it. Only if other pitchers would plunk this loser every time he came up to the plate.

It would be great to see continued beaning of Barry -- until it forced him to retire.

I wonder if anyone thinks Kittle lied in his book now. If you don't remember, In Kittle's book he wrote that he went to Bonds to sign some stuff for charity and Bonds refused to sign even after he was informed it was for a charity that delt with the same illness his dad died from, IIRC. Some people on this site took up Bonds' cause and said it couldn't be true.

I would take Ron Kittle's word over those of Barry Bonds any day of the week.

I just can't believe folks look up to Bonds and think he's a "sports hero." A true hero in the world of sports are the men and women who do it for the love of the game and the enjoyment of the fans. Not for the fans to love them.

I don't know who the Bonds apologists are on this board, but I know there are at least a couple. It would blow my mind if they had any defense to this

Don't let it blow your mind. Some folks will overlook anything.

The Score's Programming Director overlooks

Seriously though, there will be the folks who will defend him, that we don't understand him, we say these things about him since we're all racists, etc. :?:

To me, you want a guy who is a left handed batter who is a complete antithesis of 25 on the Giants? Look at 25 on the Sox.

THAT guy to me is a sports hero. All around nice guy who just beats the living hell out of the right thing. The ball. Here's to Jim. :gulp:

P.S. I just hope putting both Mike Murphy and Dusty Baker's photos in the same post on the forums here doesn't result in me getting banned.

It would be great to see continued beaning of Barry -- until it forced him to retire. Barry can rot in hell along side of Ty Cobb and Steve Howe as far as I'm concerned. Bonds would be just another homeless, Bay Area crackhead if it were not for daddy being a ML ballplayer.

You know, at least with Cobb you knew what he thought. He didn't lie about being a racist, bigoted homophobic alchololic jerk. He admitted sharpening his cleats, playing rough, hating, etc. Bonds IMO is far worse.
