Good game by Pods, congrats on HR #1. He's now hitting .300 after that lousy start. Great job by the Sox splitting the series after starting out with 2 ugly losses. Congrats to Freddy on win #6.

YES!

Great game all around by the Sox! Freddy pitched well, and the offense stepped it up again...I looooove this team!

Pods and Widger were enough to overcome the Twinkie dome and all its malicious powers! Yess!!:bandance:

Woohoo,

What about our 3-4 hitters though??? They blow!

I'm glad to see the bullpen doing well also. Cliff looks like he's returning to 2k5 form.

Last night with the Twinkies leading 7-3 the announcers on ESPN were talking about how incredible it was what the Twinkies were doing. Rambling on about how the Twinkies entered the weekend down 8.5 and now they were on the cusp of returning to playoff contention... NOT!

:winner

:twinslose

Oh and it's STILL 8.5 you dumbasses...

Now that's the mark of a champion...:supernana:

Freduardo is having himself a very nice year. He's becoming the okay, we can relax guy. Other than JC of course. He just wins, baby.

Very nice 17 innings of baseball after a lot of crappy baseball. Hopefully they take this play into Tampa where they've inexplicably had problems.

Yawn. That's just ESPN as usual trying to make things interesting, important, worth watching, creating a story when there isn't one.

When I saw Cintron, Mack & Widger in the lineup today, I had my doubts. But Mack & Widge each had 3 hits. Ozzie is pressing the right buttons again.
Freddy sure seems back on track. Now if MB can keep from tipping his pitches, JG regains his confidence and Contreras comes back healthy, this team is gonna be hard to stop.

That's what's so nice about this team...we fixed it pretty quickly; MB finds its control after the first inning yesterday, and the Twinks are toast for the rest of the series.

Good relief work by Cotts, he was making most hitters look stupid out there. Nice to see him getting back to the form he was in last season.

Looks like Cliff remembered there is an inner half to the plate. And you can pitch on it. And they'll call it a strike. Amazing.

Pods is batting nearly .391 since April 16th after his 3 for 38 start :o:

Great game by Widge for someone who rarely plays compared to our other bench players

Glad to see our players can contribute even when Thome and Paulie cannot

Maybe going from dome to dome on this trip will help the comfort level. Let's hope!

God I hate the twins.

Great win, GO SOX!

Twins alway have Roller Dome advantage, especially on visitors first trip of the year to the Roller Dome.

After this four game split the talent difference between the sox and twins is apparent. Without Santana they are the Royals.

Good job recovering after a bad two games and bad first inning of the third game. I'll take a split. Seems that a split is what usually happens during a four game series anyway. What a mood swing from the end of the first inning yesterday to right now. I had serious concerns that the Sox might possibly get swept out of that infernal dome. As it stands, the Twins didn't gain any ground in what was considered by them as a "big series." Ouch!!!

I consider Minnesota to be a tough opponent, so it's always OK with me when you split a four-game series against such a team on the road. Especially after dropping the first two. Minny needed to move toward the Sox and couldn't.

Two upcoming series against supposed doormats. I say supposed because they're still Major League teams and the Cubs will be desperate for wins. If the Sox keep their focus and don't look ahead, they will be fine.

did anyone listen to the radio broadcast today? Farmer & Singleton were hilarious - talking about avoiding alligators & rearranging players names to make other words. Crazy stuff.......

Too bad we get Kazmir tomorrow down in Florida. he is tough.

It was great to see the sox battle back in this series.

I totally expected to see Mack,Widger, and Cintron is an early game after a nite game. Do not know why some fans expect any different.

All three of these guys are solid pro players and I never cringe to see them in there.

The devils are throwing their three best pitchers out there so we will have our hands full this week. I like our chances against the cubs with Mark,Freddy, and jose out there. But maddux and BigZ can be tough. Should be fun.

It's nice that they actually turned off the air conditioners at the baggie dome when our Sox came up to bat these past couple of games!

It's wonderful to see Torii Hunter not be the huge Sox killer he used to be!

Garcia is becoming an awesome starter for us! It would be awesome for Buehrle to get back on track, and then we could have three legit #1 starters on our team!

Onto Tampa. Let's get those D-Rays!!!

Yeah..there were no worries from Freddie today. He's baaaaack!!!!
With a little less velocity, he might become even better a pitcher, and that would be scary.

Freddy is back. Brian and Rob really came through today and Pods is back. All in all, profitable split.:bandance:
Good to see that the Twins pitching from people not named Santana have fallen off.

I just got done watching the game via TIVO. Great job by the bench! Freddy pitched very well and the Sox came out with a split. Can't beat that considering that place is horrible and the home team has a huge advantage. On to the juice box!

I was just hoping for a split going into the series. As I've written before, the Twins are an entirely different team in the Blunderdome. You have to pummel them at home and try to split up there. Problem is they are at Detroit again tomorrow. With the Tigers due to drop some I was hoping for a better road team going in there--then I checked the schedule.:(: Also Lohse is starting the opener.:o:

That's one of the great things about this team - the strong bench. These 3 guys to help rest our starters plus Ozuna pinch hitting or pinch running. That's great!

Wasn't Widger out of baseball for a while and a non-roster invitee last spring? That's just insane! Did the Sox know something, or did he just fall into their lap?
