Over-the-Hill Maddux is going to find out firsthand who Mark Buehrle is.

Maddux is the kind of pitcher that gives us fits. I wouldn't write him off.

The Saturday matchup, on the other hand...

Glad I'm going Saturday. I like that Sunday matchup too, if Jose's healthy.

Friday could be a quick 2 hour game.

Friday: Buehrle answer's Maddux's question "Who's Mark Buehrle".

Saturday: Garcia continues his dominance against some poor AA pitcher.

Sunday: Contreras, need I say more. 13 game win streak. Pods should get Zambrano to melt down.

This isn't a sweet matchup. It's a SWEEP MATCHUP!!!!

I wouldn't write off Maddux either, but the Cubs won't score on Buehrle, I'll go with the sweep.

So is Contreras a lock to be back by then? Don't get me wrong, I'd trust Bmac over anyone, let alone a piece of **** team like that, but I was just wondering

That Saturday matchup scares me just on reflex. I still fear the Sox anytime they face some ****ty rookie pitcher. Esp. Hill, since I have nightmare visions of him just throwing that curve of his over and over and watching our guys chase it repeatedly.

That said, this is a series that we should be thinking sweep on. Not because they're the Cubs or the crosstown rivals or anything, but because great teams beat the hell out of crap teams, and that is a crap team on the North side right now.

Make sure you wear your Maddux jersey, HomeFish.

For those quaking in fear at facing the great Greg Maddux:

Maddux is 1W-2L vs the Sox since rejoining the Cubs in 2004. Maddux also has an 8.10 E.R.A. in the two games he has pitched at U.S. Cellular Field. Highest E.R.A. of any stadium Maddux has pitched in according to the ESPN.com splits.

Obviously, I would like to see the Sox sweep, just like I hope for in every series.

But one thing I would love to see is Zambrano flake out.
