What do you think about the Chevy Pride Crew? I personally dislike them so I use that time to smoke. I love the grown men jumping up and down for a free t-shirt. I think it is time for the Pride Crew to go.

Other than the dumb ass grown men trying to get a t-shirt from the kids, I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't mind if they throw me a voucher for one of those trucks, though...

I have no problem with them, I think they are more for the kids than the old men, as it is my neices favorite part of the game (wants to be a cheerleader).

I hate them, but they bring money to the team so I'm willing to put up with it.

Now the booger we have for a mascot, he needs to go.

Maybe they are jumping up and down to get a t-shirt FOR a kid? I know my niece would love one.

When it comes to the Pride Crew I am not concerned with the jumping old men, rather bouncing....

I think this thread really does show that Sox fans of a certain strain are just genetically preprogrammed to bitch about something at all times.

Brooks has already stated that since the year he came (last year), they won. So as long as he's here, Southpaw is here. Is there really that big of a problem?

I have always hated mascots.
However, my kids were upset when Ribbie and Roobarb vanished. Sometimes us old folks have to step aside and put up with what young fans enjoy. After all, they are the Sox fans of tomorrow!

I kinda enjoy the jumping around, but didn't really pay attention who they worked for!

There was a very "energetic" Pride Crew member last year and the White Sox web site seems to want to make sure everyone remembers her.

The shirts aren't worth it....Chevy logo on one side, Sox logo on the other. Big deal.

However, I've decided to set aside tomorrow's game (Weds 5-10) as the day I make an extra effort to land a shirt!

Those were the dark ages of being a Sox fan. Reminded me of my Grandparents 50th anniversary... EVERY INNING!... That was just awful, plain awful.

Heck, lets throw her out there to pitch on Wednesday in Contreras place. I'm sure those "things" will keep the Angels off balance!

The chevy pride crew has a "Kane County Cougar" feel to it. Very Minor League.

Pride Crew needs to go. Baseball doesn't need cheerleading. Although the Reds don't agree. What's with their cheerleaders? Less Pride Crew, more baseball.

In Pittsburgh they use those cannons to shoot hot dogs into the crowd - now there's something to push the kids aside for...

I don't see anything offensive about the Pride Crew.
Harmless commercial-break "entertainment".
My daughter loves to see Southpaw out there, and a few fans get a freebie.
I vote to keep them....oh, wait, there's no poll....:D:

The Pride Crew can go away, just another excuse to turn up the canned music to extreme levels and people acting like fools for a piece of junk shirt, that happens to soil the Sox logo.

I completely agree. However I was at a Bulls scrimage game with my family and some grown man took out my 8 yr old brother for a FREE Shirt. The kid has a red mark on his head from where he hit him. I should not have to get into an arguement with a 35 yr old + man cuz he is need of a new t shirt. Piece of advice go to Wal Mart for a shirt. The guy could have handed my brother the shirt and said he was sorry.

I should probably post this in the "I'm Rude" thread in the Parking Lot, but honestly, after seeing all of this I'm glad that I got one of those t-shirts. So there! I even leaned far to my left and tipped it back to myself to get it. And if another one comes my way, I might even do it again!!!! In fact, I'm emailing Brooks right now to tell him how much I love them and that I would cancel my season tix if they stopped being part of the experience.
