While waiting for the el on Armitage, my step-daughter asked "Is that Paul Konerko"...sure enough, there was a guy strongly resembling him with wife and baby in tow. My step-daughter wanted to get his autograph, but I didn't want to bother him when he was out with his family. He's her favorite player, though, so it was neat.

Don't know why he'd take the el, but he used to live nearby (may still but I'm not sure)

Lot's of guys have the konerko look, not so many the hot blonde wife.

No, he was taking a stroll down Armitage. We were the ones waiting for the train. The wife was indeed blonde. Didn't get a great look at her.

Were their dogs with them? I have seen Paul a few times last year in my neighborhood in Old Town - they have at least one Yellow Lab.

I know he likes Chicago Bagel Authority which is right there. He also used to/might still live in Old Town.

At what point does "player sighting" turn into "player stalking"?

I don't know, but it's not when a player randomly walks by you while you're there for some other purpose.

If I got the kind of raise he got in the offseason...I'd be upgrading my place too! :cool:

True.

Actually, Paul was there with his wife in front of my building. Maybe his wife was stalking me?

Why would a baseball player who just signed a 5 year,
$ 60,000,000.00 contract take the train?? Wouldn't a cab
or a limo do just as well??:dunno: :dunno:

Just asking.
