Geez, he's not even the best shortstop on his team.

Hey I'd take Jeter on my team any day. Is he overrated? Yes, thanks to the media. Still a great player though.

The prototype of the Yankee advantage hitter, Jeter wouldn't hit his dress size if he played for anybody but the New York Yankee$.

One of the worst fielding Shortstops in the league. Him winning a gold glove is equivalent to Eric Milton winning the Cy Young.

Exactly - How many of these "underrated" players who voted for Jeter have a .315 lifetime batting average or .387 OBP?

My ballot would include Wood, Prior, Beltran, Erstad, Beltre and others ahead of Jeter.

Jeter's fielding is overrated - possibly second to Palmeiro and his 27 game Gold Glove. Jeter as an all around player - not the "most overrated", at least IMHO.

I personally like Jeter. I think he's a winner, he's clutch and I love to watch him play. Is he the best shortstop in the league? No. But he's damn good, and I'd take him any day of the week and twice on sunday.

If his face looked like Jerry Krause, then I guarantee he wouldn't won a gold glove.

That being said, I would love him on my team and I think a possible Hall of Fame candidate. Seriously.

I think that in reality he's more overhyped than rated. His defensive acumen is average, but offensively he's superb, and a gamer to boot. Personally, I'd take him on my team. I just don't think he's worth $18 million.

According to ESPN he's making $20,600,000.00 :kukoo:

:o: That is even more unreal. And they wonder why they don't have any good pitching/young, athletic players.
