Gload finally gets that start Ozzie promised...we'll see what happens. Still think that Mack should be on the corners of the OF.

I thought that start was yesterday.

It is what it is. I'd rather have Dye heal up, and be near 100% before he plays again.

I forsee Jose shutting them down today & win #20, unless they're busy looking ahead to the mighty Royals.

I'm feeling it today. Lets go Jose. I hope Gload has a nice day as well. Would be nice to get him in the mix more.

Correct me if im wrong but isn't Gload a CF? I know he also backs up Paulie at first but i thought he was a CF. Why wouldn't you play him in center if thats a position he's familiar with.

Gload IS NOT a CF'er. He's way too S-L-O-W!

Brian Anderson had that 2-HR game off this pitcher last year. Why is he on the bench?

You're wrong. Gload is serviceable, at best, in a corner outfield position. He'd be a disaster in CF.

That's what I would like to know. And please....I don't want to hear this lefty/righty matchup garbage. Brian's glove has been fantastic!

'Cause Ozzie is waiting for more favorable matchups like Santana, Moyer, and Sabathia.

I guess a lefty reliever with a 20-something ERA isn't a good matchup either.

Not sure... he doesn't get very good reads and his arm is suspect. He's best suited for sub-duties in the OF. The dude can hit.

first part of your post was accurate.. He's a great defensive 1B who can, in a pinch, play the corner spots. BUT, he runs just as well as Rowand and Anderson. He's no base-stealer, but he can run very well, which is another reason why he is still on the roster. It's his arm strength, reads and "range factor" that would keep him out of CF.

Um, no....he's nowhere near as fast as Anderson and is significantly slower than Rowand. He's on the roster because he can hit and we're not going to bring up Owens or Sweeney and give them limited AB's.
