They would pobably wait until they meet again in September.

That would be my guess. That Saturday afternoon seems the most likely.

Ya know, living out here in the desert, I always forget about the possibility of inclement weather. I don't want rain, dammit! I want to see Jim Thome get the standing O he so richly deserves, and it would be hard to rebuild momentum for tomorrow.

Hmmmm. Lets see March 20, 2006..... Seems to me there was a rain-out in the afore mentioned desert.

Rare, yes...but it happens. Keep in mind, however, that regular-season D'Back games here never get rained out because of the domed stadium. Although there have been times when I wish they COULD get rained out!

The exhibition game that inaugurated the stadium, against the White Sox, was played on an untypical cool, rainy night that wouldn't have allowed exhibition baseball outside.

But your post makes me laugh because on that night and every other night I saw the Diamondbacks play that first year, they failed to score. Friends who went with me to the games would joke about my shutout streak. In September the DBacks actually got a hit with a man scoring position, but my scoreless season remained intact as the runner was thrown out at the plate.
