We?

Speak for yourself. I was rooting for Ozzie to get hired when the Cubs were choking on the Fish. Nothing against the guy, but the last thing I wanted was Cito Gaston in a White Sox dugout.

Ozzie is actually winning at a very nice pace. I bet he is one of the fastest managers to 200. Awesome stats on managers can be found here:

Did he coach until he died or what? not only 3731 wins but he racked up 3948 losses...in term of the length of a modern season, 162 games, that is over 47 seasons of coaching:o:

Connie Mack managed the Philadelphia Athletics for 50 seasons, until just a couple of years before he died. It helped that he owned a piece of the team, so there wasn't anyone in a position to fire him except for himself.

Minimum 1,000 games. Ozzie's not there yet. That's a little over 6 seasons...

I think we'll see at least 5 more seasons of Ozzie...hopefully many more. The problem with a lot of managers now, especially ones that used to be players, is that they have a lot of money. Being a manager can be a very stressful job, espeically when you're not succeeding. Hopefully Ozzie will be here for quite a while. Nobody will even come close to Connie Mack because most managers won't start until their 30s/40s or later and will not coach into their 80s.

Here's to Ozzie! :gulp:

Very nice. Especially taking the time to change the logos on the uniforms.
