ANAHEIM -- Manager Mike Scioscia and his White Sox counterpart buried a non-existent hatchet Sunday morning.

The two managers spoke on the phone from their respective clubhouses to clear whatever air remained from incidents in the previous game and those from last October.

I'll believe that when AJ says it.

Bill Melton didnt think any hatches were buried during the post game show.

It is over in Guillen's eyes (at least publically).

"He called me back and we decided we should turn the page," said Guillen. "We don't want [the players] to carry this through the rest of their careers. We don't want to have bad blood between two teams and two people who had nothing to do with it."

I still think this whole thing was blown way out of proportion. He didn't throw at AJ's head and Hawk's 2 hours of whining about it didn't help matters nor did the umpire who overreacted IMO.

Yeah, I don't think Ozzie is lying, but I also do think that if AJ wanted some retaliation in the future, he wouldn't have a problem with it. I also don't think it was blown out of proportion. When Escobar has a picture of AJ in his locker in spring training, that makes you think this was a long time coming, and that's a big deal.

According to Farmer today on the radio, a teammate put that card in his locker.

That's a good catch right there, kittle42-esque. I didn't even notice it after reading it a few times trying to figure out what you were talking about.

I guess spell check doesn't prevent ALL of my typos.

Fixed.

You have two good teams that have a lot of similarities and two hard-nosed managers who play the game right. I think there's a lot more respect between the two teams than either side will ever publicly admit.

Tell that to Kelvim "I can't beat the White Sox but I can throw at them" Escobar!

It's hard to bury a hatchet your trying to pull out of your back.
