View Full Version : June: toughest month of the season?

June poses the scariest lineup of teams we'll see all year.

1. Cleveland
2. Texas
3. Detroit
4. Cleveland
5. Texas
6. Cinci- so hot right now - red hot
7. St. Louis
8. Houston (WS rematch)

I say if we come out ahead in June, no one can stop us (anything can happen of course).

Yeah, there's some tough competition there. However, I don't think the Sox should be fearing any team. Those teams should be worrying when they see the Sox on the schedule, especially AL Central teams that would see the Sox multiple series per month. Those are the toughest months for those teams, believe it.

I had to go with September. Only 2 days off for the whole month. Plus, they will have already played 5 months before then. Boston, Angels, Indians, A's and Twins on the road. Indians and Tigers at home. KC and possibly Seattle are the only easy ones in that month (assuming the Tigers stay competitive and the Twins turn it around).

I'm going to go with the stretch of games from May 9 to June 25, starting with the Angels, then 4 at the Twins, 3 at Tampa, the Flubs and Oakland at home, Torono and Cleveland on the road, home for Texas, Detroit & Cleveland, then to Texas and Cincinnati and finally St. Louis and Houston at home! That is a prety tough 47-game stretch with only three days off!

September easily. We dont play many home games, probably only 1 day off after a rainout makeup, and the Boston/Cleveland/Angels/A's/Tigers stretch will be very tough. Hopefully we'll have the division wrapped up by then but doubtful with all these tough AL central teams. The Tigers sure are hot now and the Tribe seem iffy, but i think both will be there with us near the end.

You're afraid of playing the Twins? OK...

September. Besides the lack of days off, they have a West Coast trip and also play the Red Sox on the road and have two series with Cleveland, who I still think (I know I know) will be tough.
