Last night, the ESPN News ticker said CC would be coming back from his rehab Tues against the Sox.

Should be a good one Mark B vs CC...rematch of the opening night matchup.

Much rather see him than Byrd. IIRC, Byrd figured in our only playoff loss last year. I don't remember if he was the winning pitcher or not, but I do remember that he was a major pain-in-the-ass.

You are correct. Byrd gave us our loss.

Eh, I think that loss had more to do with it being the Sox's first game in a week and less about ****ty Paul Byrd. Lest we forget he also started Game 5 (http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/B10160ANA2005.htm).

Regardless, Paul Byrd sucks and C.C. sucks.

2 ER in 4 2/3 IP isn't bad. Isn't good either, but it being the playoffs and with the bullpen that team has it's no surprise he had a quick leash.

Yeah, the Sox were just flat that night. They pretty much gave it away because it was one of those nights where they just couldn't buy a big hit. And just think that was their only loss in October. :o:

As for Game 5, Byrd pitched pretty well in that game, too. Gave up 2 runs. They yanked him early of course because they were facing elimination and all. Two 'gutsy' performances as they say. I certainly don't fear him as a fan though. C'mon, it's just Paul Byrd.

I like him because he looks exactly like Frasier.
