Got to give DJ credit for his call on Dye's home run tonight: "You can kiss that baby goodnight!" Don't know how original it is but it beats the living daylights out of his former "oh oh."

Hey, it's UH-OH, and I happen to like it...just because it is hilarious to hear. He's definately improved on his PBP, and it's not bad for having to talk by himself while Hawk is doing who knows what.

Not only the call, but he also gave an analysis that proved true. He said something about how Weaver reacts in a game after giving up a big inning.

Don't forget about his "Oh My" homerun calls too.

Good one DJ. I'd like to hear that HR call more.

DJ sounded really good last night and it was a good call as well. I have to admit when I saw the ball hit I was expecting an "Uh Oh" or "Oh Myyyy" or some other goofy call and was a bit disappointed.

But what will he say during day games?

Well when you consider that a punch to the head beats the hell out of 'uh-oh...' that's not saying much is it?

How about, "OH OH, YOU CAN KISS THAT BABY GOODBYE!"

He's getting better though. I'll give him that.

I used to HATE DJ when he first came in the booth.

I remember duing the '03 season, I actually wrote a letter to the Sox asking for them to fire DJ cause he sucked so bad and showed little enthusiasm for the Sox.

But he has really turned around. Starting last year ('05), I have started liking him.

And this year, I like him even more! Keep it up DJ!!

Hawk and DJ do sound much better this year. I will give some credit to them but while in the past years I would be productive around the house with 3-4 radios on content listening to the radio broadcasts this year I find myself rushing back to the tv.

DJ made great strides last year and this year he's twice as good as he was last year. Keep up the good work, DJ!

I think Hawk and DJ are clicking this year which makes the broadcast flow. DJ does not seem like he is stoned this year either. The past couple of years he looks and acts like he took one to many hits.

I absolutely LOVED Hawk's "Bonehead" nickname for Escobar!
DJ:So that's your new nickname for him, huh?
Hawk: Just wait till you see him without his hat on! Bonehead!!

Classic!

Wasn't "kiss it goodbye" a Lou Boudreau stock phrase for homerun calls?
