So says Selig.
"Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's record," Selig said. "We don't celebrate anybody the second or third time in."

Seems to make sense. No glory in being 2nd best these days.

I'm more concerned with Brian Anderson having good ab's.

The perfect post.

Why would the celebrate anything where someone moves into second place? (nevermind it being illegitimate)

They didn't do anything when Aaron passed...(who... Wille Mays, would it have been?) did they?

I agree about your comment though. It's the White Sox, and ONLY the White Sox that matter to me.

It's the White Sox, and ONLY the White Sox that matter to me too. Oh, and cheaters getting their just desserts. That too.

There are people trying to make this about race (big surprise) but remember that MLB made no celebration about Pete Rose passing (get ready for it) Hank Aaron for #2 on the all-time hit list. They only noted it when he passed Cobb.

It will be a sad day when Bonds passes Aaron. Aaron was for real. Bonds will forever be tainted, and the most glamorous baseball record of them all will be the same.:(:

I also agree with the others; we got a game tonight! Hunker down JC.

I will be sweeping my garage, or putting in a new sink, or working on one of my antique cars, or...

Watching a White sox game!!!!!
