(i tried a search, didn't find this mentioned)
i nice article (http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/insider/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=2423556) on mr. incredible's journey to the southside by the typically inane folks at espn.
the article higlights how generous the sox were in signing him, how chicago is a perfect fit for him, and it shows what a class act the guy is.
and there was an interesting stat.
no world series champion has ever signed a player in the off-season who has gone on to hit more than 40 homers. i'm going to go out on a limb and say that at the end of the season that stat will remain intact.
however, the whitesox will be the only series champ to sign a player in the off-season who has gone on to hit 40+ thomers.
