Guy that sits next to me had one. Plays John Rooney's call of the last play of the World Series. Very cool!

I got one as a gift last Saturday. The person said they got it at a Hallmark store. Every person that got a beer that night used it - even though they were all twistoffs. That play call never gets old.

The guy told me they were around $8. If you order so many I think shipping is free. Need to call them to verify.

The one I got as a gift was purchased at Karen's hallmark. Not sure if it was the one in Palos or Alsip.

Hmmm... 2 posts on the board about an opener "your friend" has.

Nice sales pitch

When I went to DC to visit my brother last May, his girlfriend (a diehard Red Sox fan) had the 2004 World Series talking bottle opener. It played the final out of the 04 series. I thought that was the coolest thing ever and I told my brother if the White Sox ever won the World Series, that would be my top souvenir. I have been looking for this thing since they won it all. I can not wait to pick this up!

With the right tools and skill, you could customize the sound chip to deliver any message: Rooney's World Series call, your favorite home run, Disco Demolition, the Hindenberg...

My store thanks you for the sale (and plug)! We try to keep the new and hot White Sox items in stock for our nearby fans.

Finally got my World Series bottle opener when I was in Chicago a couple days ago and it kicks ass!!! Got mine at the Osco on 31st just east of Halsted and they still have several on a rack (turn to your left as you enter the store and the rack is on your left). Couldn't find the pizza cutter though!
