Baseball Prospectus has the Sox ranked number 2 in this week's hit list. Quite a difference from two weeks ago.

Actually, they still don't get it. The Sox should be number one.

You're right.

I like seeing Oakland weighing in at #24. Heads are gonna roll over that one. :redneck

As stated every time BP rails on the Sox...

WHO CARES

Therefore turnabout is fair play when BP says something good about the Sox

Their rankings don't indicate a realization of anything. They're just using the same formula every week. Take issue with the formula, not the results.

Their "Hit-List" is based on something called a "Hit-List Factor" statistic. Meaning, they don't rank the teams, a computer does. Don't ask, I don't know. Check out their Playoff Odds Report (http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_odds.php) for some giggles. Their PECOTA-Weighted Version (http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_oddspec.php) is even more amusing.

I thought I said I'd stop reading BP? :?: Well, starting now!

Lip, I notice how you put this in just about EVERY thread about something published about the Sox, whether it is positive or negative.

I must say, I like it.

Honestly people, whether BP ranked the Sox #2 or #22, would it matter? You're just setting yourselves up for frustration reading that poop, and even more so by caring what they say.

Save yourself some trouble, and stop caring!

We ARE the best team in baseball, no matter what BP, ESPN, AM1000 goons, Dayn ****ing Perry and the lot of them say, and have been since April of last year. **** 'em!!

Dayn ****ing Perry!! I have to read any linked Dayn articles for two reasons. It's pure comedy after the living in the basement of mom's house, Everquest playing stathead started his jealous man-love attack on Pods last year(I can totally see him stalking Shilling on the game and getting all giddy about it). Also, every time I see his picture I'm reminded that life could always be worse. I could look like Dayn.

You mean you don't think the Tiggers have at least a 60 percent chance to make the playoffs?:redneck

Why weren't BP writers ever in any poker games I played?:whiner:

Hey Santo=Dorf, if you're going to have that signature block, then you owe it to Frank to keep it up to date. He went 3 for 4 with his 5th homer today. No, he's not performing like Thome, but he's coming around.

What's funny is that every time I think about how we "care" when something positive is said, it reminds me of a Jackie Mason joke.

The shortened version is a man tells a woman that she looks like a hooker......but she's not mad.........instead she says, "really, how was I standing, was it like this or like this ?"
