I was watching on TV and swear Kyle Orton was at the game. When the camera from the first base line was aimed at the batter, he was over the ump's left shoulder, wearing a gray t-shirt. Am I crazy or was it Orton?

He was there, I believe he threw out the first pitch of the game.

Yes with some Bear who returned an interception (or a kickoff) 107 yards (as announced by Gene Honda before the opening pitch).

Nathan Vasher would be that Bear you're refering to. He returned a missed FG.

That's Nathan Vasher, he returned a missed field goal 108 yards against the 49'ers on November 13th of last year. It set an NFL record, the previous was 107 yards by McAlister when he was playing for the Ravens in 2002. I loooove football.

Yes (not to belittle it - just didn't remember what Gene said outside of "the longest return") Gene announced Vasher. Orton and a third Bear, which I am sure someone will name here, also went to the mound. Vasher threw out the ceremonial first pitch and all three were shown on the scoreboard.

My family were Cardinal fans before they moved and I'm not the biggest Bear / NFL fan and haven't watched much over the past several seasons.

MLB or NHL and I'm all over it.

It's not like he is the best player ever like Payton Manning.

NFL Football.

Can you pick out these hall of fame players from a lineup?

Good, because Orton would have overthrown AJ. :D:

Edit: I wasn't at the game, but that probably should have said Buehrle.

Hints for the other two - Hawk fans hate (but respect) the first one (who lost today on NBC) and the third player lifted the cup with Roy during their last Stanley Cup victory (and his last game after a very long career - he was the player with the longest career in NHL history (22 seasons) before finally getting his name on the Cup). His number is retired by your favorite team. Fenway would know him in a heartbeat.

Ya, Vasher threw out the first pitch with Orton by his side. What's the deal with people not making the throw to the plate? Here we have a professional athlete that can't even make it to the plate.
