Albert Pujols is hitting an insane amount of home runs this year. He just hit his 11th and is looking like he won't slow down any time soon. Will he break the HR record this year considering the fact that he's definitely in his prime time?

He's got a good chance in my book, since mine says the record 61. :D:

I think he has a shot at hitting 62.

I don't think we can really make any predictions in April. If anybody breaks the real record, it will be one of Pujols or Dunn IMO.

The pitching is pretty weak in the NL (heck, everything in the NL is weak from the eyes of most AL team's fans); but, that doesn't take away from the fact that Pujols is an outstanding hitter. He'd do well even in the tougher AL. He will break the record.

I think he has a chance to hit 60, but no way is he gonna hit 74 homeruns in a season. That just won't happen anymore.

Out of everyone in MLB, I would say he has the best chance of doing so.

It won't happen cause pitchers are gonna start treating him like Bonds and walking him all the time, which really is unfortunate.

According to ESPN's projected stats, he's on pace to hit .357, with 105 HR and 248 RBI. That would be a record.

Think the pitchers will be ordered by MLB to groove pitches to pujols so they can wipe at least one of Bonds records off the books

they already juiced the balls, i'm sure they could order a grooving maybe lower the mounds too

I would like to see him break the tainted Bonds record. Oh, excuse me, the allegedly tainted Bonds record.

And the allegedly tainted Sosa and McGwire totals too. The sooner these guys fade into history the better.

Pujols could very well break the single-season HR record.

Who here wouldn't like to see him take away the Crown that currently rightfully belongs to Barry Bonds?

Nobody will ever break that record, if he keeps staying hot he will get pitched around plain and simple.

It's April. Waayyyy too early to predict. But if anyone can do it, he can.

I hope he does just so idiots on ESPN don't continue to claim Barroids holds the record.
