Surprisingly enough, Ex Marlin giveaway Derrek Lee was the lead story
in todays Cubune. A full color picture at the top of the page was all you needed to see to know what the story was about. The SOX however
again get 3 more stories than the Cubs and make a little headway.

Despite Winning the WS in 2005, the SOX inexplicably find themselves lacking again in media attention, to a team that finished in 4th place in 05

Chicago Tribune:
3 cub stories
5 sox stories
Chicago SunTimes:
2 cub stories
3 sox stories
Standings as of Thursday April 20th, 2006
Priviledged, Media Owned, Media Favored, 4th Place in 2005 Cubs 278
Underdog, Media Maligned, Media Ignored, WS Champs in 2005 SOX 256

It seems we've been gaining a bit lately. With the Cubs now even more doomed to have a bad year, does anyone think we're going to wind up with more stories by the end of the regular season?

theres a good chance, but only as long as they do really really badly. If they start doing any kind of winning (3 game winning streak for instance)
the tables get turned towards them again. Very unfortuneate, because its been this silent media policy towards the SOX that has cost them Valuable Media Attention the last 2 decades, which in turn has allowed the other teams sheepbase to grow exponentially, which in turn has allowed the other teams revenue stream to also grow exponentially. These things are all very closely related, if you dont think so, Ive got a bridge to sell you.
