FRANK THOMAS TO APPEAR AT SOXFEST 2002
CHICAGO –Two-time Most Valuable Player Frank Thomas will headline the list of
current Chicago White Sox players attending SoxFest 2002, the 10th annual White
Sox fan convention, which will be held February 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency
Chicago, located at 151 East Wacker Drive.
In addition to player autograph signings, seminars and interactive skills
sessions with current White Sox players, including Magglio Ordoñez, Jose
Valentín, Keith Foulke and Paul Konerko, SoxFest will feature autograph
sessions and seminars with former Sox stars and White Sox broadcasters.
SoxFest visitors also can stop by the White Sox Kids’ Corner, purchase White
Sox merchandise and baseball memorabilia from the White Sox Garage Sale and
receive free skills instruction from Sox players and White Sox Training Academy
instructors. White Sox wives will be on hand to sell the Sox Appetit Cookbook,
which features more than 100 recipes from Sox players, coaches and staff.

I'd say pretty good. I can't ever remember Frank being scheduled to appear and not showing.

I thought he was a no-show last year. I remember something about him wanting to spend time with his kids or family. I am guessing they waited to announce him so they would be sure he made it.

I believe he wasn't there last year because of his father, who was either sick or just died.
