Great to see Jenks with his devastating curveball. When that pitch is on and biting, it makes his great fastball that much more effective.

Way to go, guys! But I really hate it when we play a team I don't hate; I just can't get myself all worked up.

Fortunately, there aren't many teams I don't hate.

Buehrle with another gem. PK knocking it around and out. The big boy firing it for the save. Iguchi with a spectacular olay for the second out in the 9th. Gotta repeat these king of games for a couple of weeks. This is getting fun already.:)

I'll admit it scared me a bit. That's a real easy way to break your wrist. But it all worked out in the end.

#1 top play for sure for Iguchi! That was SICK!! At first, I was just hoping he wouldn't hurt himself...then he got off the throw, and made the play...WOW! :bandance:

A lot of people contributed today for the win. Awesome game!

Iguchi's play in the 9th was flat out amazing! To be falling, push off the ground with your glove hand then throw in mid air...Amazing play! Hawk was right, how did that ball not end up in the seats or right field?

Nice to see a well pitched game again. Paulie was great today and that play by Iguchi was OUTSTANDING.

Also, it was nice to see Bobby freeze Wells on that curveball to start the ninth. NASTY!!

All in all, a very impressive win. As the first month unfolds, some of the areas of concern expressed on these boards seem to be settling in. Things like defense, Jenks and nobody hitting for power except Thome.

Not true. Paulie had guys on base. If those guys didn't do their job, this game is still being played.

I listened to the end of the game on the radio so I didn't get to see Iguchi's play. Now I just saw it on the postgame show. That was amazing. Absolutely amazing!! Great great great game!

Japanese second basemen are taught that when throwing to first body position is unimportant, just get out of there. I did see quite a few acrobatic throws when I played there. Iguchi's today was special.

Oh yeah, I hope your Gooch hurts!!!!

I thought the DP in the 5th or 6th, turned in by Iggy was more important. Sure it wasn't as amazing as his play in the 9th. But a tough DP turned it..

I think I shouted an obscenity when I saw Iguchi actually attmepted to get a throw off. Given that he was practically on his face at the time with his feet in the air, and the initial trajectory of the ball looked like it was going into one of the diamond suites, you can see why. I sure was wrong though. That has to be the most acrobatic and resourceful play I've ever seen a second baseman make on a charging type play. I mean the play was dead, but he somehow...I'll never know how he managed to get off that throw.

Gotta finish the job and take the series tomorrow. Last night was ugly.

I was in section 118 row 20 today, taking my girlfriend's brother out for his birthday. He is a Flubs fan but admits to loving the Cell much more than the other dump.

Solid defense today by the Sox. Iguchi looked a little shaken up after his amazing play, smacking his head on the ground. But that little guy can run!

Great game today!

Iguchi's play was one of the most amazing defensive plays I've seen in 52 years of watching ball games. My thoughts went like this as I was watching the play:

1) Infield hit.

2) He can't be making a throw in this!

3) It's gonna go wild!

4) DAMN!!!!!

Same thoughts here. I was in the front of the Upper Deck, right past first base. I figured the ball was going into the Jays dugout for sure.

Lots of love for the Iguchi play but let's not forget the Crede plays. Some more great stops of balls hit down the line. He turned a double into a single on one of them and turned a double into an out on another.:bandance:

I was listening to the game while working, I thought Farmio lost his mind. Words can't do that move justice. He made it sound like "awesome dive, excellent throw" and I'm thinking "We've seen that before from the Gooch, what's the big deal?"

I just saw the replay on ESPN News. Oh my God! Was that awesome!!!

Or, if anyone else around here is an old ECW fan, I think that would of gotten a

"HOLY S***, HOLY S***, HOLY S***!!!" Chant out of the crowd.

Whoo-hooo! Freakin' awesome. Sox Win!

Ok, I'm watching Baseball Tonight right now just to see if they show that play.

If they don't I may throw my tv out the window.

Either way, this will be the last time I watch this show this season.

Edit: Damn straight. Possibly the best play I've ever seen. It gets better every time!

Unfortunately, I missed the game but I just caught the Iguchi play on BBTN. It's everything people on this board have said it is. I'm awestruck, stunned and amazed. I've never seen anything like it. Wow! Guch is going to get a huge ovation when he steps to the plate tomorrow. Also, props to Mark and PK. Great game!

Great game! A can't really add much to what's already been said. Let's close 'em out tomorrow!

Hey I think I had one of the Dahl Brothers in my row (in Sec. 103); I overheard him mentioning their old season tickets in the Club level and they were Steve's section if I remember right. I kept waiting for the Stever to show up, since there were a couple empty seats there as well.
