Hey everyone,

I was at tonight's game (my first one of the year) and noticed that the reactions to Joe Crede were almost as loud, if not louder, than for Konerko and even for Thome. I've got to say that Crede is becoming my favorite player to watch and I think he's going to have a huge year. It's great to see that others are appreciating his great skills, too. It wasn't too terribly long ago that people were selling him down the river.

I gotta say that although I love Joe, I love Thome even more. I liked him even back in the days that he was a Sox killer when he was an Indian. What a class act and great slugger!

Good call on Crede. I was there today as well, he's becoming bigger. But most the cheers were from the females.

That's cool with me, anything to bring more fans to the south side. Especially females.

Thread hijack, have you noticed every attractive female who comes to Sox games has a male escort/boyfriend?!?! What the hell?!

Watching the game on TV last night, it sounded like Crede got a huge cheer when he made that great diving stop and tried to throw out the runner from one knee even though he didn't get him out. I thought it was pretty cool that everyone was cheering a great defensive play! But....it seemed realy loud. Does anyone who was at the game remember if that was the reason for the cheering or if something else was going on at the time?

Joe is coming into his own. The big guy from Peoria is loved by fans across
the country for his playing abilities and for and his leadership qualities.:KW " I have discovered a cure for cancer".

I was at the game and that was def the reason for the cheer and I loved that.....It was great to see the fans cheering Joe even thou he didnt get him out, he at least saved a double and another runner in scoring position.

Crede's defense is just as good as Thome's bat this year, and IMO just as fun to watch!

i have been a fan of joe since he has been with the sox....it was tough to listen to the media last year when he hit a slump, but i think the world series is really what put him on the map. He played amazing defense and got a whole ton of clutch hits. Last night he went 4 for 4 which is outstanding! Im headed to the game today and cant wait to hear the cheers for joe!

I've always been a Buehrle guy. He doesn't fool around out there, keeps the game moving and everybody on the field alert, struts his stuff and usually keeps his mouth shut. I also like Iguchi for much the same reasons: he just goes out there and plays baseball.

I agree with the others that Crede's stock is rising in a hurry, and Thome is on his way to becoming The Man in Chicago.

Hell, this is a likeable team all the way around.

Not all of them have an escort. There were three of them riding home on the el next to me last night unaccompanied. And I couldn't do anything to change that. :whiner:

It's also great to see Crede starting the season in good form at the plate. He's got to be around .330 right now.

Nah...that's because you guys are always checking out the blondes. Pay attention to some of us brunettes once in a while.

Yeah blondes get too much attention. And they always want to know where left field is and how come the guy at shortstop doesn't have a base to stand by and other nonsense...

:welcome: WWE

Crede is a fan favorite because he rules at 3rd base. AJ is quickly becomming my guy on the White Sox because of his badass nature.

My sister, cousin, and I were there alone. Yes, we cheered for Crede, but only my sister thinks he is hot. I just think he is a great player!

Amen, and remember that beauty comes in all different shades.

Mark, AJ, Joe, and Dye get my loudest cheers. Juan too. It took me all of last year to decide who was my favorite, I didn't figure out until December.

Oh how things change in a year's time....

What, with no daily "Joe Crede Sucks" and "Trade Konerko while his value is high" threads, WSI simply isn't the same as it used to be.

I personally don't have a favorite player on the Sox, but I've liked AJ since his early days with the Twinks, so I was ecstatic when we signed him. I like 'em all though.

It's hard for me to choose a favorite player because they each have an important role. However, if I had to choose it would be Buehrle without a doubt.

Among the male fans I know, I think it's a three-way tie between Konerko , Thome, and Buehrle.

Among the female fans I know, it's a close race between Crede, Pods, Jon Garland and Neal Cotts (or "Neal Hots" as one calls him). I also know more than one young woman whose heart was broken when a certain Mr.Rowand was traded away. "Who am I supposed to look at when I go to the games now?"

I'd have to go with Buehrle.
