For fans with Extra Innings or other packages, check out tonight's tilt between Pedro Martinez and the Washington Nationals.

After last week's bean-riddled game between the Mets and Gnats, Pedro is back on the mound and one errant throw could ignite this powderkeg! In fact, warnings have been issued before the game has even started. Is this a first in MLB?

I'm listening to this game (as I did the first Pedro outing). It may turn out into a Norris Division Battle Royal!

I don't think so, in fact I'm pretty sure it has happened to the White Sox, maybe in relation to the 2000 brawl with the Tigers.

No way it's a first, I can remember it happening to the Sox on more than one occasion.

What BS rules as far as beaning wars go, the Sox have gotten screwed by those as well in the past. Pedro can hit 4 or 5 guys and it's okay (Jose Guillen multiple times), then the reliever that follows Pedro hits a National, and nothing happens to him after a warning had been issued. Then, Hernandez hits a Met and is ejected and now suspended, while Pedro comes off scotfree

No, the Sox have gotten screwed with the warnings more than once.

In the first oakland series last year, Oakland hit like 6 of our batters, including hitting Uribe in the hand and knocking him out for the series, IIRC. Not only were they allowed to hit our batters but WE WERE WARNED before the final two games that Ozzie would get rung with the first guy hit.
