I regret that MLB took over the sale of team merchandise from the individual franchises.

That said, where is the best place (bricks & mortar/virtual) to obtain t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats for the White Sox?

The absolute best brick and mortar place for all things Sox is Grandstand, on 35th a few blocks west of the ballpark. You will be amazed at all the stuff they have! They also have a website: www.grandstandsox.com (http://www.grandstandsox.com). You can't go wrong!

Grandstand, of course!

Honestly, go to http://www.grandstandsox.com
they have everything you need.
IF you've never been to the store, the next time you go see a Sox game, take 35th right up the road past the stadium, you'll see Grandstand on the corner. A virtual utopia for the Sox fan.

mlb.com's store isnt that bad. While it was gool getting free tickets to a game when i bought from the old sox store(lower deck too!), you cant argue with a system that rewards the sox for every flubs, blowsawks, or yankmees item purchased(sox get 1/30 of all mlb.com revenues)

Grandstand is great for just about everything, aside from jerseys. Triple Threat Sports are much cheaper in that respect, and they're very good at what they do.
