No lie. It's a good thing we signed him to a new contract.

Hate to argue again, Jerry, but Bobby did okay. He pitched tentatively to the best hitter in the league - okay. Then he got a force out.
As howry and foulke are righties, I'm not sure what causes manuel to switch one for the other - i guess 2 outs in the 8th, he likes to go ahead and let foulke close it out.

On another topic, why did trot nixon bunt with one on down 2? Was it a bunt trying for a hit?

Are you serious? Have you been watching Howry pitch the last two years?

I'll tell you what causes Manuel to switch one for the other:

he's got more confidence in Foulke.

He pitched ok yes Tragg but he isn't exactly Mr. Clutch when it comes to getting big outs.

:keith
I am clutch, Game one of the ALDS never happened.

Let me be clear. I understand why he uses foulke to close games - he's a much better pitcher.

i don't understand how he decides when to get howry and bring in foulke. They're both righties and often it is after howry has recorded an out.
