The Charlotte curse?
Team's picking up right where they left off...
Charlotte Top 1st
Jerry Owens strikes out swinging.
Angel Gonzalez strikes out swinging.
Ryan Sweeney strikes out swinging.
JO's steal was a thing of beauty, good jump, great speed, great slide.
Fields just made a great play on a GB, from the foul side of 3rd base to peg the runner at first.

Charlotte wins 1-0 behind Redding (6 4 0 0 1 7). Javier Lopez with two Ks in the ninth for the save.
Nice to see these guys still have their eyes on a promotion later this year.

Birmingham lost 6-3. Liotta was OK (5 6 1 1 2 2) but Dizard and Little gave it up. Valido had a single and a double, Collaro a solo home run.
Winston-Salem won 4-3. Egbert went five, allowing all the runs, and four relievers finished. Lucy had a busy night: two-run homer, RBI double, a walk, and a throwing error. Gomes had a double and a single.
Kanny lost 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth. Loss charged to Santeliz (three hits in 1/3 of an innng) but Perez gave up two more hits without recording an out. D. Rodriguez started and was good (6 3 2 0 1 3). Javier Castillo had a two-run homer and a double.
