Jermaine Dye started today in right.... made no plays in long top half of first... didn't hit.... then Mackowiack came out for him to start the second!

Thinking it probably isn't injury... what else could it be?

I am thinking no way a trade ala Olivo 2004..... family emergency? sick before the game and tried to go but couldn't?

Anyone have an insight on the typical length of time to recover from a strained calf? Is this a day-to-day thing? A 15 day thing? Other?

This is disappointing, but the situation is helped by the fact that we have Mackowiak ready to fill that hole in the interim and we also have Ryan Sweeny at AAA.

Depends how bad but probably day-to-day.

Strained Calf is probably a day to day injury. It is probably due to the weather.
