I know there maybe more important things to talk about, whether Rowand is going to be there to get his ring, rain on Sunday but I ran across an SI article about the last season at Old Comiskey Park. August 20,1900 issue.

A few White Sox fans were quoted in that article. I wonder if they are WSI members and/or if anybody on WSI knew them.

Jim Dillon

Harry Heisler

Gardner Stern Sr.

Gardner Stern Jr

Lauren Stern

I have the story in my library. The folks quoted in that article were at the least, in their 50's in 1990. Gardner Stern was in his 80's at the time that story came out. I seriously doubt those folks if they are still with us, are WSI members.

You said that none of those people would be around. Well somebody 24 in 1990 would more than likely be around. Even somebody 50 years old in 1990 would be 65. Not that old.

It is when folks from that generation aren't used to and don't know about computers. I'd be happy to give you a list of all the former Sox players I've interviewed who have no computers at home and have no idea how to use them.

Therefore even if they are still with us I highly doubt they are 'clicking on' right now to get to WSI. LOL
