Follow-up tests discovered that Jeremy Reed's wrist isn't broken. He probably won't play on Opening Day, but he might avoid the disabled list.

The initial X-ray picked up a fracture that team trainer Rick Griffin said could have been 12 or 18 years old. "However old the fracture is, it's completely healed," Griffin said Tuesday. "It's still tender and it's still sore. But the wrist is not broken. We can say that now." Great news for the Mariners, who were faced with the prospect of Joe Borchard or Willie Bloomquist in center for up to two months. Reed may still miss the first week or two of the season, but this may not be a long-term problem.

Well back to the 5th OF slot for LTP.

And probably back to the minors for Michael Morse.
