SI has us ranked number one in all of baseball and also has us down for winning it all over the Cards. AL teams make up the top 5 in the rankings with the Cardinals being 6. The rest of the top five are in order A's, Yankees, Angels, and Red Sox.

It's nice to see Frank and Aaron featured with their new teams. Take a guess on who has the more positive article.

Read the end - they pick us to repeat.

Excellent part about the greenie ban & it's impacts. Teams with the strongest benches will benefit the most. Who has a stronger bench than the White Sox? Widger, Ozuna, Mak, Cintron, Gload.

Ha. Five of the top six teams are in the AL.

A's number 2 in baseball? Writers always kiss the A's asses. All they have to do is age a year with their young players and they're suddenly ready to go all the way.

Until the A's win games before June and after August, they are irrelevant to me. That's just the facts. :D:

Kiss...of...Death. Just kidding, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a little bit superstitious and am a little nervous after hearing this.

The Redbirds would've found a way to roll over and lose anyway without the cover. They have LaRussa managing. Pujols is my favorite non-sox player to watch, though.

Probably doesn't mean any more than any other predictions, but with my own ears, I just heard Woody Paige and Clueless on ESPN pick the Sox to run away with the AL Central. They then went on to say that the Cubs are toast.

I thought that Cleveland was a top 5 team. Someone really dropped the ball at SI.

Let's not forget the Tribe traded their speedy leadoff hitter to the BoSox.
They say it takes 1500 ML bats before you can tell whether a guy will be a perennial star or a flash in the pan.

The jury is out on most of the Tribe. They could be a team consisting mostly of flashes in the pan.

Uhhhh, no. You've been around since August, so I'm guessing this should be teal.

I am thrilled that the Sox are not on the cover. The Trib and the Times were both pretty down on the Cubs yesterday. I am afraid however that this is their writers feeble attempt and getting Sox fans to start beating their chests like the Cubs fans do every Spring. Over confidence can be a bad thing sometimes.

I think there is some serious butt kissing going on at SI. Let's start with the Yankee$. They have a fairly deadly offense, but I really don't think they've done themselves any favors. They are weak defensively and their pitching staff is very suspect. Their offense could really implode this year with Damon (who was deadly in Fenway, but not nearly so potemt elsewhere), Bernie Williams (who I like, but is over the hill), Posada (whom I don't like and is badly over the hill) and whomever they are planting at second (Cairo or Robinson) providing four very weak hitters, with Giambi possibly going bye-bye due to steroids and Sheffield probably joining him, this could easily be a fourth place club.

With the A's at least they have more pitching than the Yanks, but I just don't think Milton Bradley is going to help much, Loaiza is a big question mark, as is Frank's health. And I doubt Huston Street will do much to remind you of the man mistakenly awarded Tadahito Iguchi's ROY.
