View Full Version : Tavarez/Gathright brawl
I didn't see this anywhere, there are some pretty good frame-by-frame pictures of the fight here (http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/gallery/03_27_06_sox_rays/).
Most notably:
Picture deleted. It's an AP photo. They own the copyright. Take three days off, and when you come back, please remember not to publish copyrighted material.

Tavarez has some screws loose. This is the guy who punched a wall and injured himself in 2004 just as his team (Cards) was making a playoff run.
It looks like he is going to break his wrist with that girly-punch of his.

He used to be on the Bucs for a little while and he was nuts.

This guy has always been a bit of a nut job, that's why he's pitched for eight different organizations. I remember with Cleveland he was a little **** starter.
I also remember his 'I signed to be a starter, I want to be a starter' fit he threw a few years ago too when he was with the cubs.
I don't think guys like this will play too well in Beantown too long.

I don't think guys like this will play too well in Beantown too long. He's a good symbol of how that organization has unravelled so quickly after 2004. The Manny BS, the Theo BS, etc.

Anyone remember when this clown was on the Cubs 3-4 years ago and he like jump kicked some dude on the Giants in Spring Training?
Julian Tavarez = mucho loco.
Oh, and Greg Norton. :Rocker: If only you could hit pitchers that well at the plate.

I wonder how this game ended............
Trailing 9-7, Boston had a chance to win in the bottom of the ninth after a two-out double by Tony Graffanino (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/5590/) and a walk to Pena. But Willie Harris (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6798/) grounded out against Chad Harville (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6255/).

Gathright should have gone for the toe hold.

Gathright should've used more flying attacks... the man can hop over cars for gods sake.

Tavarez needs a good ass beating one of these days...maybe that'll straighten the bastard out.
