I was reading the Sun-Times today and they were writing about how crowded Comiskey is gonna be this year (longer food lines, longer bathroom lines, tougher parking, etc.) Does anybody else think so?

Of course it will. You put 40,000 people into a small area and those things are going to pop up. Given the high number of ST sold this offseason the Sox should be able to better predict turn outs and have enough staff on hand to keep the food lines moving. There is nothing they can do about parking or bathroom lines.

Ummmmm YES, it will be very crowded all year. To compound all of this, the SOX will again be caught flat-footed, and will only have 1 beer guy working, the old ladies working the stands will be one year slower, no one will be just taking just money, serving just drinks, they will do every transaction one-at-a-time, They will not have extra port-a-johns on the hamster ramps to handle the massive lines to the guys bathrooms.

It will only be crowded because more people will be there.

If it wasn't so crowded, more people would come!

It'll be interesting to see what they draw for those April day games that traditionally only see about 13,000.

I would consider big crowds and the possible inconvenience at Comiskey to be what my wife calls a "high-class problem". I woldn't want to ge back to the days when the Sox had to beg for attendance.

Since they know 21,500 people will almost always be there(from st sales), and they probably figure 30k a night on average, i expect you'll see plenty of food stands open, plenty of beer/food vendors walking around, and maybe the portajohns will stick around...
the key is that they KNOW there will be large crowds this year, it's easier to hire more staff to handle the crush

You know, I've been to the Cell numorous times on very crowded days and it really isn't bad. Never really had a problem with the bathrooms and while the lines are longer they aren't too long. Now if this were at the old stadium it would be a living hell

Baseball is played on a diamond, in a park. The baseball park!
Football is played on a GRIDIRON, in a STADIUM, sometimes called SOLDIER FIELD or WAR MEMORIAL STADIUM.

I guess this is the ultimate test for all those who have complained about not supporting losers. If they now complain about crowds, they're hopeless. I for one look forward to hopefully years and years of inconveniences.
For those of you who look for something to be unhappy about, your life will be what you make of it!
