does that rating mean that although we have 8 that each of the prospects as inviduals are better than most? I go to the site and can't see anything

A breakdown on our prospects listed.....
9)Joe Borchard
27)Jon Rauch
34)Joe Crede
60)Corwin Malone
85)Matt Guerrier
134)Matt Ginter
219)Andy Gonzalez
275)Tim Hummel
Hmmmm, that's pretty questionable.
Where's Ulacia, Almonte, Olivo, Kane, West......
And if you're going to put Ginter & Crede in there, why not Wright and Rowand.
I'm not going to put too much stock in this one.

Gonzalez is a shortstop believe it or not. He ripped up the rookie level Arizona league, hitting .323 in 189 at bats. Word is he flashed some good leather in the process as well. But true to form for most young shortstops he committed a bunch of errors.
But I'm surprised that they would include him over a bunch of more established A and AA guys. If anything, Honel was more promising in Arizona than Gonzalez.
Oh well, who am I to argue with an expert?

I would have hoped Hummel would have been ranked higher seeing as we expect him to take over 2B next year and posibily lead-off

I don't think much of any list that ranks Mark Prior as a better Cubs prospect that Juan Cruz (like this one does). Cruz has actually reached the majors and pitched very well while Prior hasn't even thrown a minor league pitch. So because of that I won't worry about the fact this guy doesn't like Hummel.

Most likes are rather subjective....we all know that, but you still want to see your guys(especially guys who are definate parts of the future) ranked higher....c'est la vie....there will be more lists and if I remember Hummel has what you want...like good strikezone judgement(IIRC)....
