With Brian Dolgin still working at 1000, who's going to do the pre/post shows on the Score?

Chris Rongey.

He's a close friend of mine, so you are probably asking the wrong guy.

For real? Cool.

Is he a trueblood White Sox fan?

Is he a trueblood White Sox fan?

He grew up in the St. Louis area so he was Cardinals fan growing up and still is. We went to ISU together and he reloacted to Chicago soon after and became a Sox fan. He loves the passion of the fans and always has.

Chris will work/prepare hard. Im actually looking forward to next Sunday myself so I can hear his debut.

I had a chance to hear Chris for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed. He's not quite to par with Dave Wills, but he might be there sometime soon. He's prepared, and he's easy to listen to. Not to slight Bryan Dolgin, but Rogney sounds much more at ease right now than Dolgin did even at the end of the season last year.

I was a big Chris Singleton supporter when they first announced him as Farmer's partner. He's got a long way to go. I was cringing while listening to Singleton talking to Rogney on the pregam show yesterday.

Singleton reminds me of the times Ernie Banks actually did the sports on WGN-TV.

Oh my God!!!

Chris Rongey.

Nice guy, he will be prepared and fair in his coverage.

Chris had a nice time meeting some of the posters on the board, including Hangar at Soxfest. He definitely understands the passion of Sox fans.

To echo some of the earlier responses, he isn't Dave Wills, but he is pretty comfortable on the air and fairly easy to listen to.

I've already warned him about some of the callers who will panic after short losing streaks, too.

Bryan Dolgin > Chris Rongey >> Dave Wills

I've been very pleased with Chris' work so far, and I'm sure he'll improve even more once he's more comfortable and the season is in full swing.
Right now Chris is the ONLY listenable aspect of the White Sox radio "experience".

No, I was never a fan of Dave Wills.
I think I'm one of the very few here who wouldn't be thrilled if he returned.

You are correct, sir.

I would, however, welcome Dave as a replacement for either the current play-by-play or color radio voice.
So I got THAT goin' for me.....which is nice.....:D:

Chris will be on the air with the first pregame of the season before tomorrow's game (March 30).

I guess all of us will get a feel of what to expect before the season starts.
