Unable to find a suitable offer for Tony Graffanino, and uninterested in taking the financial hit to cut him or keep him, the Sox have placed the spare second baseman on waivers.

Seems like he'd be worth the $2.05 million dollar investment for the Mets.

Too Bad we dont need him. I always liked him as a player, and I thank him wholeheartedly for his stellar defense during the 05 ALDS.

Don't make fun of 'Ol Tony, he was awesome on the WHITE Sox. True, who really cares about him once he leaves the Southside.

Sarcasm is directed toward Berman the AssClown. Anyone can make an error, only Berman could turn it into a personal affront, and an embarassment for impartial sportscasters everywhere.

I could see the Cardinals possibly making a play for him since Spivey has been pretty terrible at 2b this spring.

I was a fan of Tony G, but I don't think I would ever describe his career with the Sox as awesome. He did a nice job of filling in and had some big hits, but he also had his fair share of mistakes.

Nice solid batter, but baserunning and fielding esp. on the left side: Ugh!

Heh, he found out about it today, still played in the spring game, and went yard

The gut-wrenching impartiality of Chris "Remdawg" Berman during that game was pathetic.

That's why he will be forever known as, "Crappanino".

I really don't remember what he did great for the team while he was here, he does some great things now-a-days though. :redneck

And "Gaffanino". He killed me that one Cubs/Sox series.

Going for the force at third when there wasn't a force?

Cost the Sox the game that afternoon but I always like Tony. I'm sure he'll find a spot on some team but if not, you bet your behind I'd offer him a deal, send him to Charlotte and use him as insurance or trade bait for relief pitching help sometime during the season.

Just picked up by the Royals. Looks like we'll get to see him quite often.
