Da Trophy FINALLY came to Indiana (via Crown Point - Old Lake County Courthouse) on March 21 - and the support made me one proud Sox fan! Here are some pics - the line was HUGE all day.

What's up with the motion blur? Did those guys watch the evil tape from the ring?

I was in Indianapolis today. That's my Indiana connection.

I'll tell ya - it snaked all the way down to the cellar - where those knick-knacky shops are located. I'm not sure where it started down there, since I came right in at the main floor - and found some friends that let me cut in. Good thing too - they had CLOSED the line shortly before I arrived!

Hey all, saw the trophy yesterday. My only complaint was that they rushed you through the pictures so I didn't have time to really look at the trophy. Other than that, it was a great time. All the Sox representatives were extremely nice, and they had a trivia contest while we were waiting in line. I won a shirt for answering how many flags are on the WS trophy and what they represent, and a rally towel for naming 2 of the players who became fathers during the season. Other people won ticket vouchers, and WS baseballs. I feel kinda bad about winning two items, but knowledge is power, right?

For those who are curious about the trophy seeming to be in 2 places at once, I was told by the guy taking the donations that the touring trophy was the actual trophy while the one at the rookie season ticket holder party was a display trophy.

The pictures are posted, and can be seen here (http://controls.ame.nd.edu/%7Enpetroff/TrophyTour.htm)

I saw the trophy today in Portage and it was GLORIOUS!!! :dtroll:

I thought the really nice thing was they took 3 pictures, standard pic, wide view, and then just one of the trophy. Did a great job and they started 15 minutes early. IF you haven't seen the trophy yet, Do It...it is well worth the $10!:gulp:
