Didn't your momma tell you the Internet is a dangerous place full of liars and cheats?

I found information on the offending idiot in a "Who Is" lookup. Should I post it?

If I wanted to be banned, I wouldn't of asked.

It does prove that any moron can buy a domain!

If you have firefox, type World Series Champs into the browser.
It is much more truthful.

Try a google search - that's nowhere to be found. Not on the first page at least.

If you open the page in CF Studio you can view the source code of the redirect page. Its actually redirecting twice.

www.worldserieschamps.com (http://www.worldserieschamps.com) loads a JS file, which then forwards to someone's family web site, which then forwards to the Cubs site. Ugh.

What a rubix cube of a web site that thing is.

I also did a WHOIS search. I am not going to post any of the creator's personal information (as I assume that's the sort of thing that would bring up the banning), but I did find it funny that the site was created on March 24, 2004. I guess someone was feeling optimistic about the 2004 season! Also of interest is that today is the registration expiration date, so if anyone wants to scoop it up and relink it, now's the time to get ready to do it.

I found it on Google.

Actually, I thought this was hilarious. Cubs fans are so dumb, it makes me laugh.

It's amazing that some Flubs fans are trying to convince people who don't follow baseball that it was the North Side team from Chicago that won the World Series.

Via REGISTER.COM (all public information), the site, worldserieschamps.com (http://www.register.com/retail/whois_info.rcmx?action=whois.worldserieschamps.com&requestType=get_challenge) is registered to:

A person (female) who lives on Argyle Street in Chicago.

Again-this is all public information. Not much digging necessary.

I really don't care that it is public information. There is no reason for it to be posted here. Enjoy a week off.

***? The site was created a year and half before the Sox won the Series.

That is nothing but a bitter flub fan with nothing better to do. I bet it wasn't like that until the Sox won the World Series.

Well, it certainly wasn't always like that:

The site on 4/13/04 (http://web.archive.org/web/20040413050114/http://worldserieschamps.com/)

The site on 5/20/04 (http://web.archive.org/web/20040520090607/http://worldserieschamps.com/) Notice how quickly the updating on the site stopped.

The site on 9/21/04 (http://web.archive.org/web/20040921020309/http://worldserieschamps.com/) Hey, it's just before the Cubs collapse of 2004, and amazingly the site is active at that point.

The site on 2/3/05 (http://web.archive.org/web/20050203115626/http://worldserieschamps.com/). Wait til next year...

That's the last update in the Wayback Machine.
