I broke the ESPN Power Rankings and now it's cbs sportsline's turn. And boy are we foaming at the mouth about this one. I have never seen an analyst/expert/whatever you want to call him stab himself so much. This article is a Sox fan's dream. The title says it all. Oh, by the way, I go to Michigan (future NIT dynasty baby!) and was wondering if anybody was planning on going to any of the games at Detroit in mid-April. I know I am with some friends. Also, I keep seeing these 4 tickets reappear on the White Sox Ticket Exchange for 109 bucks a piece lower deck infield, I called and ticketmaster said they already sold them, yet they keep popping up. Anybody else having this problem??? Wow that was a lot. I'm wired on Red Bull and Mountain Dew. Plus my birthday (and Mark Buerhle's) is tomorrow!!! Drink to that!!!!:gulp:

I didn't read the entire thing. But there was a lot of praise for our Sox. Maybe they are finally coming around.

Btw, I think having Boston at 5 is just a little bit high. LAA at 9 is a bit too low. But we've seen worse from the media in the past.

About damned time someone ate some crow.

I think he ranked the Scrubs too high, though.

I'm happy the Sox are #1, but overall these rankings suck. Boston over Toronto at #5? Cincy at #22, with the Marlins over the Royals at the bottom? The Cubs at 16 over the Twins? And better yet...the Brewers at 18, behind the Cubs...with the Dodgers down to 19 (who I think will win the NL West) behind the Padres and only three rankings from the lowly Reds. Blegh...this guy still hasn't learned how to make picks.

Indians at #3? My Indians fan buddy follows them closely, and he says they're not gonna win the division and may not win the wildcard, and I would agree.

5 of the top 6 teams are in the AL.

I love the last couple lines from the Sox descriptio:

Make room on the bandwagon. The skeptic wants to sit with the kings.

Kings indeed...

5 of the top 6 teams are in the AL.

Only because it's impossible to compare them, since they play each other so rarely.

In reality, 13 of the top 13 teams are in the AL.

(I will concede that St. Louis is better than KC).

I think there was a thread yesterday saying that the Ticket Exchange isn't working right. It won't let you buy the tickets so that's why they keep popping up.

Why do we even care what these so called "experts" say? It really doesn't matter. Most "experts" don't get a whole lot of their picks right anyway. It's cool that they put us first in the power rankings this time, but it really doesn't matter where they put us. Besides, I like the Sox to fly under the radar a little bit and I like our players feeling like they get no respect- I think it makes them play better.

What did he mean that the Indians got "a few bad breaks" the last week of the season or they may have caught the Sox? What was the bad break, having the Sox on their schedule?

Did anyone see the post by the White Sox on the forum at the bottom of the page? Says the Twins scare him because of the "Puckett factor". *****.

That dropped ball in centerfield the last week of the season was huge

That dropped ball in centerfield the last week of the season was hugeI remember someone on the Royals dropping a fly ball that would have been the last out of the game, that helped the Indians come back from a huge deficit to win. Those things even out, I guess.

Holy crap, he has Cleveland in third place. That puts a lot of pressure on Eric Wedge and his porn stache.

While it's nice to see the Sox #1 in these 'ratings...' let us not forget they are being made by a 'fantasy expert'.

Nuff said.

Anyway my opinion is the same as if he ranked the Sox 30th....who cares.

Games are won and lost on the field not in some 'fantasy geek's' mind.

The game was tied at that point. They still might have gone on to lose the game but that's still no excuse for losing 2 of 3 to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and then getting swept by the Sox "B" lineup.

They seemed to survive the "Joe Crede!" walkoff homerun a week before just fine by winning 5 straight afterwards...

I like the Red Sox much higher, #1 or #2. I think Red Sox and White Sox and Cardinals are the best paper teams right now.
