I've seen him a few times and he's looking darn good at the plate. It's going to be a fun lineup to watch this year. Crede's been looking good lately too.

The double he hit against the cubs (would've been a hr if it weren't for our 'Green Monster') was the 1st hit I saw from him and it was fab-u-lous!

So we are all in agreement: Thome is alive and has been sighted on planet Earth.

Designated hitter Jim Thome said his left hamstring felt fine, a day after he felt tightness while running out a double. March 19, 2006

Him and Crede (from the games I went to) are complete monsters out there! I don't know about thier stats from the rest of the spring, but the 2 days I was at (17th and 18th) they were very impressive.

Has anyone seen Thome play first base yet this spring? I have seen six games this spring and the only players at first have been Konerko, Gload, and Rogo. From what I remember the original plan was to play him at 1st once a week.

Don't forget about Bucky Jacobson at first as well ;)
Sox are up 5-2 and Thome is not in the lineup today.

As was I and I concur  . If that wall wasn't there that ball would have kept on going for Thome. Although I have a feeling that the way the wind was blowing a lot of balls hit up had a chance to leave the park. Either my dad or my buddy Nick mentioned before the start of the game that they felt like it was going to be one of those games that ended 17 to 16.
