Why don't the Sox wear their Green Jersey and hat anymore during their game on St. Patrick's Day anymore? They used to do it all the time, now since some teams ripped off the idea, the Sox stopped. Why?

I thought they wore them on "halfway to St. Patricks Day" during the season.

Before the half way promotion started in 2004, they would wear them in spring training on st. patricks day.

Not every year. The last time I remember seeing the green jerseys was in the mid 90s.

I coulda swore it was every year as well. I remember during the game they would have an announcement saying certain players jerseys would be auctioned off with all the money going to White Sox charities.

I’ve attended most St. Patrick’s day games since they relocated spring training to AZ in ’98. They’ve worn green every time.
Whether they wear green on halfway to St. Patrick’s day or not, I was surprised and disappointed that they didn’t wear green today.
