I hope he does very well except when he plays against the Sox. Then I hope, Sox pitchers knock his ass off the plate.

I hope he plays well against the Sox. I wouldn't mind seeing him do some damage at the plate, provided of course that the Sox are ahead by twelve runs, or so.

A quick update...

"It was good to go back and forth, seeing a lot of pitches," said Thomas, still recovering from an ankle injury. "After the second at-bat everything felt normal."

Thomas doubled, walked three times and struck out looking. His double one-hopped the left-center field fence and he sprinted for two or three steps toward first before realizing he was forbidden to run by A's trainers.
