..but Chris Carpenter has pitched 11 innings, given up 6 hits, 1 walk and has 10 strikeouts. He has done this on 64 pitches with 58 of them being strikes. :o:

update: 16 innings, given up 8 hits, 1 walk and has 13 strikeouts. He has done this on 86 pitches with 80 of them being strikes.

Even more impressive would be that in his last start he didn't throw a single pitch out of the strike zone. :o:

A great pitcher gets swinging strikes on balls out of the strike zone and called strikes in it!

Yep. That's part of the reason we'll be seeing him at US Cellular for Game One of the 2006 World Series.
