I was watching the Bundy's on FX last night and something interesting. Peg and Marcy were talking about how Al got banned from Wrigley on a fan interference call. He cost them a game that if they won they would've gone to the World Series! Anyone ever see this episode? It looked like one of the earlier seasons

It was the first season. (http://www.bundyology.com/hpg/112.html)

I actually have seasons 1-3 on DVD. I'll have to go home and check this out. Never noticed it before.

There were a few references in the early seasons, but as the show got popular, there weren't as many local references. Only one that I can think of after the Sam Kinison episode in 1989 is where Al and his No Ma'AM boys try breaking into Wrigley Field. This was during the baseball strike. Many players guest starred with different jobs, including Frank Thomas. He got to spin newspapers...

There was also an episode where Al was trying to win a sports call-in contest, but was too blind to read the number off the TV. Jefferson called in while Al was squinting at the tube.

The question: "Who was the center fielder for the 1959 White Sox?" Jefferson answered Jim Landis.

Episode 112 is also the episode where we learn that Steve's middle name is Bartholemew.........

That is one episode that I have never seen. I can't even catch it on reruns.

I wish they'd hurry up and get the DVD's out a little faster...

The connection is that they're both losers!

All right, what do I win?

I remember an episode when Al came home and sang, " I'm a Cub fan, and a Bud man. " He was drinking a beer. He was a loser, so of course he was a Cub fan.

The obvious connection is that their greatest days are waaaay behind them

1908 is to the Cubs as
4 Touchdowns in a game at Polk High School is to Al
