Blue Jays Baseball: Turning our backs on our traditon and country since 2004.
-or-
Blue Jays Uniforms: Turning your stomachs since 1997.

What's the deal with Torontoans and the Blue Jays...are they staying away because they aren't winning or is baseball to "American" for them?

From 1991 to 1993, there would be 50,000 people in the Skydome for every game. It was wild. The city -- the entire country, really -- embraced the Jays and rode that train to two championships. But after the 94 strike, the Jays never recovered that level of support. Opening Day still sells out, but now Torontonians also have an NBA franchise, a popular local pro lacrosse franchise, and the lovable losing Leafs to support. If the Jays start contending again, they will naturally draw more fans, but I don't think there will ever be a 50,000-a-game season again. It's always been a Leafs town. The 91-92-93 years were a rare exception.

2006 Blue Jays Baseball: Suck it.

2006 Blue Jays Baseball: What are you looking at?

2006 Blue Jays Baseball: Still in Toronto!

2006 Blue Jays Baseball: Man, this is boring.

2006 Blue Jays Baseball: Maybe the Red Sox and Yankees will beat each other to death. Then we're in!

Just a couple off the top of my head...

To be FAIR to the Jays' organisation, that slogan doesn't say WHAT 'you gotta believe!', does it?

Expect 2007's slogan to be:

"Hey, at least we ain't the Expos!"

Again, I'm picking the "Jays to win the AL East. Seriously.

2006 TORONTO BLUE JAYS: A BLUE JAY IS A MUCH TOUGHER BIRD THAN AN ORIOLE !

2006 TORONTO BLUE JAYS: Ummmm...tell us again why our main color is black ?

2006 BLUE JAYS BASEBALL: We have a hotel in our stadium and that should count for something. Come on, it's kinda neat don't you think? Plus we have Vernon Wells and he was sorta good that one year.

...man, losing attendance to a pro lacrosse team...just...wow.

The Toronto Rock are the poor man's Maple Leafs. The Leaf sheep fill the Air Canada Centre for every hockey game, so those who can't obtain/afford Leaf tickets settle for lacrosse. It's sort of like hockey, but the players run around instead of skating, and they club each other with their sticks, which appeals to the beast in all of us. The Rock routinely draw over 10,000 to a home game.

BTW, great slogans everyone!

Yeah, the slogan does suck but the actual team shouldn't be taken lightly. The Blue Jays winning the AL East wouldn't be a shock to be, and I think talent wise they are at least better than Boston.

If the game I saw at SkyDome was any indication, the slogan ought to be:
Blue Jays Baseball: Shhhhh! They're trying to play a game in here!

It's funny because it's true!

They've tried to break up the silence during Jays games by introducing The J Crew. It's a bunch of teens who jump onto the dugout roofs between innings and break dance. Apparently it's still 1984 in the Jays promotions dept.

Isn't the real reason this slogan is lame is because it's unoriginal? It's a word for word rip off of the 1972 New York Mets slogan. Tug McGraw is spinnnng in his grave.
