I like the "power in numbers" and the "heroes are rotated" ones. Super-imposing the different playes like that is very, very cool.

I should've gone into marketing!!

#63 "You don't have to be a coach to coach" and #69 "There's always THIS year (and last year)" are my favorites. Great work again.

Outstanding stuff as usual, 2x4! I love the "Head and Shoulders and Arms and Legs and ..." one, as well as the "You don't have to be a coach to coach." That and the 9-year old poster really emphasize the tradition of the Sox being family friendly.

One question: How long until we see an official Jim Thome Grinderball Poster?! Looking forward to it!

Oh, and I GOTTA ask: Is Rule #69 ("There's always THIS year. And LAST year.) a knock on the '69 Cubs? That historic collapse and Rule # seem to be too much of a coincidence!

Great work... great, great stuff!

Is there another team in this town? I hadn't noticed, but there are no coincidences.

I thought Grinder Rule #2 was "Only One Stat Matters - W", not "Be MVP, M T W T F S S".

"Only one stat" ran in one place with the wrong number. It is actually been used more as #10. But interesting that you noticed, given that it only ran in one place with #2.

Well, I noticed cause I keep a list of all the grinder rules and a lot of the ads you make. The ad for the wrong #2 is posted on the Sox website at http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/fan_forum/campaigns/outdoor/index.jsp

I just had that saved in with my list. Although checking it, I also have it written down as #10 too.

Thank God for 2x4...those pics (and all the GR's) are my Windows XP screen saver slide show.

Hey, am I slow or did 2x4 post the new "campaign" yet?

EDIT: Just saw the TV ad post...2x4 rules again.

on the whole, awesome. #63 and #75 are my favorite.

but i've gotta be honest and say that #99 and #12 aren't your best work. i see how you're trying to get the 99 and 9 to match up in #99, but usually the wording flows a little better. #12, well, there just isn't much to it, no play on words, none of the stuff that makes the other ones great.

as a whole, i love these. i can't wait to see one with aj stepping on boone. keep 'em coming.

:gulp:

Great looking posters! They'll look even better on the sides of bus shelters on Addison and Clark Streets.

I took #12 to have something to do with the old dropped third strike and Josh Paul rolling the ball back to the mound, thus not hanging onto the ball. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

Either way, I love 'em all. Nice work as always 2x4!

Yeah, the little nuances of every Grinder Ball Poster really is what makes them not just a very good marketing campaign, but a great one. My favorite was still #59, just showing Scott Podsednik in mid-stride with the words, "Go. Go.," an obvious homage to the '59 Sox.

 Oh, these are all great. Damn, I can't wait for this season to start.

that's what i thought too maybe, but then shouldn't the shot be a.j. sprinting (well, lumbering) down the line? or maybe a.j or widge holding up a ball to an ump? i dunno...

I know we had a GOOD list of these rules last season before that list came out on the official website...we should start a list of new rules we have added during the offseason...im assuming these are the first new ones we will be seeing?

Two By Four, these are AWESOME!!!! I saw #75 on a billboard off the Kennedy heading westbound near North Ave. a few weeks ago and just LOVED IT! :D:

Numbers 69 & 75 are my two favorites and will be printed out and hung in my classroom.

See, I'd always thought it was because Podsednik had 59 SB last season. Perhaps just a happy coincidence.

Seems like that would be a good one.

Not that you need more ideas but A.J. stepping on Boone or Pods taking one in the face from that Yankee fan would make awesome posters IMHO.

Man, those were good. The Sox really have had some of the best marketing the past couple of years. The Grinders Rules campaign is unbelievably good. It touches so many areas of Sox fandom: family, baseball smarts, attitude, pride, work ethic, etc. Has there ever been one featuring churros?

Although battery really isn't anything to laugh about, the play on words for the one with Podsednik getting punched in the face could be "rule 242" because the police code for battery is 242. The only problem would be that not many people would pick up on the reference.
