Is this only a full season ticket holder party, or are split season ticket holders invited as well?

I assume cbone is a split holder since he said he gets to see the world champs every weekend. (double play pkg)

Haven't gotten my mail yet, I hope I get one.

Just one question:

I had an Ozzie Plan last year without these perks such as season ticket holder gatherings and gifts. This year, I upgraded to the Hit & Run plan, which has such perks. Would I not be invited to go to a NEW season ticket holder event since I had the Ozzie Plan last year, which is technically considered to be a season ticket package?

Yes, that's what the invite says. I'm sure there is something planned for the people that have supporting this team a lot longer than I have. That would only be common sense.

There will be 4 new season ticket holder parties (based on where your seats are so they can easily show your location). To follow will be a party for ALL season ticket holders (new and renewal).

That's strange. I didn't get that in my mail. But, instead, I got TWO "White Sox Neighbors Night" fliers in the mail today for the game on April 14th. It's for those of us who live in the neighborhood to get a great deal on tickets for that game.

I won't be in town then. Does anyone want to have the forms?

Its nice that they are going to have a party and invite the people who where buying season tickets before the Sox where in the playoffs. I don't understand why they have more perks for new accounts than they do for loyal long-term customers.

It is that way with most things in the business world. I have been with the same cell phone company for over 5 years and I don't get to take advantage of the new deals being offered to new customers unless I sign a 2 year contract, buy a new phone, etc. Just the way things go. They rope you in with deals and once you're on the hook, they got you.

Damn Sox!

This is a little different. They usually have a season ticketholder party, until 2004. The year before last, they let full season ticketholders take batting practice, from what I understand, most partial season ticketholders were not extended invites. Last year they had nothing. With the cell phone companies, they offer these deals to get customers. The White Sox already had these customers when they decided they would throw them the party. Maybe they are worried that most are bandwagoners and if the Sox don't make the playoffs they will cancel. I don't know, I just find it odd they are having a party for new accounts while not giving the old ones anything.

My point exactly. Im glad for all the people that purchased ST plans this year. Good for you, but I purchased mine in 2004, not thinking they were gonna make the run they did. A lot of other people purchased them before me too, but when its time for a party before the season, we seem to get stiffed.

At least they are going to be throwing a party for us during the season, hopefully...

Good points. Looks like they want to "wine and dine" new holders and hope they stick around.

I wouldn't worry about past holders not getting anything. I'd imagine something is in the works...

It was nice. No beer, just Pepsi and Sprite. Hot dogs, wings and chips, too.

Green seats are in place on 500 and 300 level 100%. Dugout-to-dugout and bleachers on 100. 100 level concourse gift shop is now twice as beig as it took over the museum.

Dan Pasqua was the autograph guy. Trophy was there, too. You're able to wander all over the Stadium Club and 300 level. On the 100 level, you can only walk from the elevator to the gift shop.

They will give you a lanyard for your tickets with some goodies inside (it included a card about my salesperson whose favorite sports team is the Bears:o:).

On the way out, they pass out a plastic bat and ball for the kids.

When I was at the 500-level gift shop about five weeks ago, I asked the woman who took me up there what they plan on doing with the Hall of Fame. She told me they want to make it a museum up on the 500-level somewhere, but it's something that wouldn't be ready until the start of next season at the earliest.

They're just leftovers from the 03' All Star Game nuttin special!

Inside there was 2 coupons for upper tank tickets to another game though:smile:

The party was pretty cool....as stated, no booze, dogs & wings....the best part was simply being in the park, and seeing on the outside of the LF Bleachers "Home of the 2005 World Champions".....

When I was at the 500-level gift shop about five weeks ago, I asked the woman who took me up there what they plan on doing with the Hall of Fame. She told me they want to make it a museum up on the 500-level somewhere, but it's something that wouldn't be ready until the start of next season at the earliest.

That sounds awesome, Jen! Did she say where they'll display the trophy?

Gene,

You're more than welcome to have my lanyard if you want it.

I took a few cool shots, when I get a sec, I'll put em up.

Come on April 2nd!!!!!well..the 2 free ud tix is nice...:D:

I'll be at the party today with my 12 year old son. I'll have a Sox golf windshirt on with a yellow hat from some hotel in Phoenix. (It fits really great). My son will be wearing something untucked and a pair of jeans. Say Hi if you spot me. :)

Just got back from the party. We had a blast! Neither my wife or I had ever been on the Club level before, let alone in the Stadium Club. It must be really cool to check out a game from up there. We got in and made a dash right for the trophy. This worked out great since there were only about 5 people in line ahead of us. We did the picture thing and by the time we left, the line was at least 20 people deep. It got longer as the day wore on. We grabbed some dogs and sodas and enjoyed them in the Club seats. It was a bit chilly but the sun was shining bright so it wasn't too bad. We checked out the new 100 level gift shop and grabbed some merchandise. I got a Majestic "Milestone 2 Pullover" and my wife got an Antigua zip-up hoodie.

The crews were power-washing the seats and working on the infield lines. There is a nice, big banner on the light standards in left-center field (it is covered up but I wonder what is underneath?) but they still have some of the old WS banners up. For example, the "8 teams, 1 champion" banner from MLB. I'm sure those will be down come Opening Day (only a week away!)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention the lanyard that you get. Looks like they had some surplus from the 2003 All-Star Game.:redneck

We got back a little while ago as well. I was very impressed. We had a blast. Walked around the club level, grabbed a couple of hot dogs and chips and went and sat in some sec 335 club seats and ate the first ball park dog of the year while looking out on the field. I am really enjoying the perks so are.
I grabbed a copy of the World Series Trib and Times they were selling and had them autographed by Carlos May. He was very nice. My son is in a cast and asked if he broke his arm fighting with a Cub Fan, . All in all a great afternoon and well worth the ride down.

We must have got there right after the first rush. They had trouble keeping enough warm hot dogs in the pan. Later on they caught up. Looking over the club level and the Stadium Club I have no idea how anyone can compare the beauty and class of U. S. Cellular Field with the Urinal. The park our team plays in is top flight.

The best thing about today - being surrounded by nothing but Sox fans. You could say what you wanted to the person next to you about the Sox and the Cubs and not have any slimy little Cub fan argue with you or get their feelings hurt. It was heaven.

I didn't get any free tix in my lanyard...:(:

Ah, it's ok. Looking at my season tickets in their box makes me feel pretty good.

It was a nice event, got to go outside, see the green seats, have some free dogs and sodas, even visit the gift shop. Kudos to whoever thought the idea up.

Was at the party today.Nice to see all the white sox fans who broke down and purchased a season ticket plan.I am sure glad I was able to get my lower level seats with playoff options before the mad rush started!!I was talking to a sales rep and he says they might have another party during the year. It sure would be cool to go thru the club house and see other areas of the park not normally seen. Can't wait till next Sunday!!! Go White sox 2006!!!:bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance:
