Did anyone catch the article in today's Cubune?

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-0603020261mar02,1,5348347.story?page=2&coll=chi-sportsnew-hed

Once again, the Cubune shows its bias and unnecessary peddling of all things Cubdom. Of course, they could go with Ex-Sox, since he's played nearly 2/3 of his 228 career games with them.

But no, he's officially an Ex-Cub after playing a whopping 3 games.

Oh well. Since he's pretty much going to be known as a choker anyways, I guess it's better to call him an Ex-Cub.

They changed the name of the article (and the link on the Tribune home page) between the time I saw it and made this thread.

Now that it says "Ex-Sox" I wonder if there's any reference to cheating, drug abuse, child abuse, or hidden quail hunter.

wouldn't ex-Cub make MORE sense considering he was more recently a Cub? what's the PC protocol on that one?

It'snot exactly a badge of honor to have an association with talent like Josh Paul broadcast around. It's embarassing that he was on the Sox for so long. Keep calling him ex-cub, cubune.

He was The Second Coming at catcher for a loooooong time. I'm still upset that he was put on the playoff roster in 2000 instead of Mark Johnson.

Ever since Josh Paul yelled at me from the bullpen after I booed a sox reliever getting shelled, I have never been a fan of him.

And before people start flaming me, I booed this reliever because right before he came in, he was fliriting with some ladies instead of warming up.

AJ did the same thing to Vlad in the next game? What?

I remember AJ tagging people left and right...

better an ex-cub than an ex-sox, cause he sucks, life failing to tag AJ on a close play even if he had caught the ball, just a plain lack of basic baseball skills
